I was really excited to start this book, and when I did start it, it was a solid four stars in my mind. And then all of a sudden, in one fateful scene when Bree met up with Jake at the bus
, it went from four stars straight down to two stars and got worse. Everything from that moment was absolutely miserable to get through. And not the good kind of misery that leaves you with bated breath and an ache in your chest. It was more the misery that leaves you chanting in your head, "Hurry up and finish. Hurry up and finish." I did not like Jake and Abby's relationship. I thought they were better flirting than when they finally decided to try a relationship. It did get slightly better at the (very) end... but the most miserable parts to get through were 1-starrable, so I'll bump this up to two. So my final thought: thank God it's finished!
